Yet another Mississippi stage strutter. As soon as folks decide whether he’s rock & roll or country, they’ll understand Steve Azar. I think he’s a hybrid of the two, and not unlike Marty Stuart, he’s carving out his own niche. In any event, he gives a killer performance in concert and, pretty soon, everyone will appreciate his “niche”. I’d suggest you see him in concert soon, because before long, he may prove a difficult ticket to obtain. That said, I’m quite sure he’ll never forget where he’s from. He’s a really good guy, so apparently his Mama regularly reminds him where he’s from. And I’ll add one more thing - if his security people throw me off the stage just one more time…I’m calling his Mama!

Yet another Beale Street Musician. I’m not sure if he was looking to the heavens above for inspiration, or whether he was just anxious about the pigeon overhead. In any event, the sounds from his guitar told me he found what he was looking for.
